About neilkeefe

I am a junior at Suffolk University in
Boston, Massachusetts and communications major focusing on
broadcast journalism. A die-hard Yankees fan and season
ticket holder of the infamous Section 39, home of the “Right
Field Bleacher Creatures,” I am from Guilford, Connecticut. I
am a feature writer for the The Bleacher Report, where my
article on the Yankees playing it smart by not getting
Daisuke Matsuzaka was the top related story on Google News,
ranking higher than CNN, Sports Illustrated, and the New York
Times. I have a weekly column on New York Baseball Online,
the “River Ave Report,” covering the latest news on the Bronx
Bombers. An aspiring broadcaster as well as sports writer, I
host a bi-weekly sports radio show on my university’s radio
network that is streamed online as well. The show, “From The
Stretch,” can be heard on Tuesday and Thursday nights
starting at 7 PM EST. Along with my own show, I am an intern
at ESPN Radio Boston in Charlestown, Massachusetts. A member
of the productions and promotions department, my work
includes researching statistics for station programs, cutting
and editing interviews, and assisting in out of studio
broadcasts at major sporting events. I can be heard on 1240AM
in New York City and Long Island during the baseball show as
an analyst for the New York Yankees.
